Six male and female dancers, all aged around 50, challenge the ideas of youth, strength and physical surpassing that dominate dance practices. To the sound of Sérgio Pelágio’s live music, their bodies cross past experiences, moving between current desires and a drive to intervene in the future. This work seeks to be a place of reflection and awareness about ageing in society and in dance. Through it, it is claimed that the stage is also for the VelhⒶs and it is hoped that their almost anarchistic furore will infect those who see them.
