Description

Premiered in São Luiz on November 3 2016, this performance by Lúcia Lemos, João Paulo Santos and Vasco Araújo is now back for the 125th anniversary of the Theatre. A one performer opera to observe very closely, in which Francis Poulenc’s music and Jean Cocteau’s prose create an alternation between the colloquial and the poetic. At the intersection of the lyrical scene, performance and moving image, the scenic proposal underlines the central character: a voice, perhaps more human because it is sung, admittedly out of the naturalistic register by the emotional and physical involvement of musical expression.

Show premiered on November 3rd 2016
