From the 11th to the 27th of November, Alkantara Festival invites artists and audiences to an international programme of dance, theatre, performance and meetings, distributed throughout the city of Lisbon. It presents projects that are based on artistic, political, cultural and social investigations to experiment formats and possibilities of dialogue. Spaces of reflection are nurtured so that knowledge and the senses gain new structures of reference. At Teatro São Luiz, four projects invite the public to engage in movements and experiences: between diasporas, exiles and sacrifices; encounters around deforestation processes, monocultures and regeneration strategies; and bodies where memories are reinvented through gestures.
