Description

Launch of the poetry book As Trapezistas, by Ana Zanatti. Published by Abysmo, Ana Zanatti’s first book of poems stems from a series of experienced gestures in writing and bold in the intent to open the door to the mysteries that are inevitably faced by those who look at life with the attention and rigour of those who love without limits, with no intention of solving them, only to discover them. The reader is challenged to inhabit the poetic and disconcerting sensitivity of one of the most multifaceted authors and artists of our time. Presented by Marta Chaves, readings by José Anjos, Natália Luiza and Isabel Abreu (recorded poems at the studio O Menino Grava), with the presence of Carlos Barretto (double bass).

Ana Zanatti’s career, spanning 55 years, has unfolded in the theatre, television, radio and cinema, as an actress, presenter or author. She has written countless songs, translated and adapted several plays, has written fiction and documentary series for television, has co-written a soap opera and other television and radio programmes. She has written for newspapers and magazines, such as the weekly newspaper SETE (now extinct), the literary magazine Os meus livros, Elle, Biosofia, Egoísta and Inútil. In 2003, she began a literary journey that now spans eleven books, including novels, children and adult short stories and one essay. She has also been published in several collective works of short stories and poetry.
