Bia Ferreira presents her latest work, Améfrica, at the São Luiz Theatre, and promises a few surprises at this concert. For the first time, she takes to the stage accompanied by a full band, featuring drums, bass, keyboards, wind instruments and percussion, to get everyone dancing. She offers a first glimpse of her new repertoire, as well as some of her older, best-known tracks. Whether through sharp, intense rap or underground lounge music, reflecting on love and politics, Bia Ferreira’s music challenges conventions and enlightens. Although she states that her work is intended to make people feel uncomfortable, the recent tracks from Améfrica highlight tenderness and love as revolutionary tools. This debut performance at São Luiz forms part of a concert schedule which, this year, features around fifty shows across the globe.
