Description

António, Bia, Telma, and Carlos… Four actors sharing a flat in Bairro Alto, each navigating different stages of their lives.

António, the eldest, faces the dilemma of choosing the eight songs that define his life, as if this was his last hope. Bia grapples with her daughter’s estrangement following her separation from her husband. Telma contends with her longing to return to the stage, but is paralysed by anxiety and panic about it. Meanwhile, Carlos desperately seeks work, ignoring his hearing impairment.

Forced to work as voiceover actors to get by, they now face the almost certain loss of their only remaining source of income, as they are set to be replaced by AI-generated voices… With their livelihoods under threat, they decide to call a strike in an attempt to change a reality that feels increasingly inevitable.

That is when António brings Rodrigo into the group, a young man who aspires to become an actor… A biting and intense comedy that invites us into the world of these actors, while also delving deeply into each of their life stories.
