Miguel Castro Caldas and Pedro Gil are, coincidentally, both theatre artists and they both practice karate — and they decided to make that the starting point of Deixar o Karate. A question often put to those who practise karate is: have you ever used karate in your life? But no one ever asks: have you ever used your life in karate? Nor does anyone ask an actor: have you ever used karate in the theatre? Or have you used theatre in karate? Or theatre in life? To Miguel and Pedro, these questions make perfect sense.
