As part of the exhibition A LUZ QUE FICOU by photographer Estelle Valente, the public is invited to take part in a unique and free photographic experience with the artist herself. Originally scheduled for 22 May, the date on which the 132nd anniversary of the São Luiz Municipal Theatre was celebrated, these special sessions will now take place on 5 June.
The initiative will take place at the iconic Janelão do São Luiz, a space where, over the course of almost a decade, Estelle Valente has photographed actors, directors and various figures from the performing arts. In this context, the general public will have the opportunity to be photographed in this very setting, symbolically becoming part of this archive of portraits.
Each participant will subsequently receive five digital photographs, sent by email, as a record of this experience.
The photographs taken may also be included in the project’s archive and communications, building on the body of work developed by the artist.
This initiative aims to keep the exhibition alive, making room for new faces and new stories, in the same spirit that has defined an artistic journey over the years.
Target audience: the general public and theatre enthusiasts (who are not part of the artistic community).
