Description

Once upon a time, at an uncertain space and time, somewhere in the evolution from mice to men, one being enclosed within its own labyrinth. The director Ricardo Neves-Neves and the performer and clown Rui Paixão gather for the first time to create a show with no text, loaded with visual and sound effects. On stage, we’re transported to a retro-futuristic universe in garden-green tones, filled with renaissance statues, one giant octopus, swarms of bees, scary owls and bratty vacuum cleaners. In between laughter and horror, nonsense and the meaning of life, among theater, dance and performance, Hamster Clown approahces dreams and nightmares, moments of confinement and release. And it’s not very relevant if we’re either man or mice – in there we’ll all be skinned.
