Description

Teatro São Luiz regrets to inform that the installation Poromechanics and the performance Cabraquimera, both from Catarina Miranda, have been cancelled due to the fact that elements of the artistic team  have tested positive for Covid-19.

Poromechanics, by Catarina Miranda, is a collection of video-portraits of choreographers, presented as oracles, in dialogue with a suspended sculpture of a sleeping bicephalic whale. The initiative of portraying different artists, moments after they have been induced into states of immersion, through physical and sound activation, potentiates the idea of access to their black boxes, promoting the activation of the parasympathetic nervous system and the appearance of subconscious speech. The possibility of hallucination and hypnagogia aims to return the oracular perspective to each body, through the manifestation of their gestures captured on camera, as soothsayers – those who tell the truth.
