As part of the Open Doors initiative, organized by Acesso Cultura, the São Luiz Theater invites the public to explore its backstage areas through guided tours led by our team.

The tour includes interpretation in Portuguese Sign Language, ensuring accessibility to a wider audience.

This tour also reveals the theater’s less visible spaces—dressing rooms, backstage areas, and the understage—and introduces the professions, stories, and curiosities that inhabit this century-old building. Throughout the tour, visitors will uncover memorable episodes from the past, the people who have passed through these halls, and even some of the superstitions that, to this day, remain part of theatrical tradition.

An intimate journey through the nooks and crannies of the building and the memories that link São Luiz to the country’s history and the performing arts.
