The 15th edition of Misty Fest welcomes the voice of the new generation of alternative, transgressive and erudite flamenco: Rocío Márquez. This is how the singer positions herself in the Andalucian musical universe. Without any false dogmas or concessions – despite her love for tradition – Rocío is one of the major voices of contemporary flamenco, combining rigour, creative vocation and bold performances.

Through her lyrics, arrangements and melodies, she succeeds in transforming ancient cantes into different palos and melodies. Her music carries us not to the first, or the second, but to the Tercer Cielo (“third heaven”) of flamenco – that is the title of the latest and acclaimed Rocío Márquez album, which includes a collaboration with urban and electronic music producer Santi Bronquio.
