Salomão Soares, one of the most promising names in Brazilian jazz, arrives in Portugal with his trio to present Espirais – a disc where Brazilianness meets improvisation and the freedom of jazz.
Together with Paulinho Vicente (drums) and Felipe Brisola (bass), Salomão explores new unpublished compositions, inspired by artists, places and memories, in a game of full interaction between the musicians. Piano, bass and drums take on a new dimension here – modern, pulsating and deeply sensitive.
Born in Paraíba and based in São Paulo, Salomão Soares has shone on stages alongside giants such as Hermeto Pascoal, Hamilton de Holanda and Toninho Ferragutti, and has won national and international awards.
