The Oceanic Sense of Life cycle, conceived by Jorge Chaminé for the European Music Center, invites audiences on a musical, poetic, and philosophical journey centered on water and our place in the world. In this first concert, Waves of Water and Memory, the Divino Sospiro ensemble, conducted by Massimo Mazzeo, performs Telemann’s Wassermusik. In the second part, Raúl da Costa explores a repertoire spanning the 18th to the 20th centuries, from Couperin to Takemitsu, including works by Ravel, Mompou, Berio, Luiz Costa, and Liszt. Between the dance of the tides and the intimacy of the keyboard, water becomes movement, memory, and a horizon of listening.

The poetic element, featuring readings by Tobias Monteiro, extends this journey through the spoken word.
