A singer, composer, multi-instrumentalist and producer, Sofia Leão is one of 2025’s great revelations. In May, aged 18, she released her debut album, Mar—comprising 12 songs that create an intimate and immersive atmosphere, with a unique language and rare maturity and depth from someone who has much to say and knows how to say it.

This first work reflects the singular sensitivity of a personal journey embarked on at a young age: by age 10, Sofia Leão was already composing, and by 15, she had turned her bedroom into a studio. Along the way, at 13, she recorded for the first time with her father, Rodrigo Leão. Produced by João Eleutério, Mar fuses crystalline piano notes with ethereal electronic ambiences and delicate vocal harmonies, inviting the audience to immerse themselves in unique emotional landscapes. At Misty Fest, the artist will showcase both contemplative melodies and bold creativity, in a career that still has much to explore and to offer. This is only the beginning.
