Topografias Imaginárias – Do Punk ao Near Silence III (Imaginary Topographies – From Punk to Near Silence III) is a sequence of viewings with commentary, mapping the encounter between cinema, music, and the city of Lisbon. In 2023, we explored the punk, post-punk, and pop scenes. In 2024, jazz, progressive rock, and electronic pop. In 2025, the focus shifts to improvised and experimental music, contemporary classical music, and near silence. the first two sessions of this third cycle open with a feature-length film and continue with a discussion about the films and musical typologies in focus. The third and final session begins with a discussion and ends in musical celebration, with a Near Silence concert. The programme brings together a set of documentaries and records that represent historical moments and memories of music in Lisbon, approaching the music and musicians who made and continue to make it, and the stories of those who lived through it and still live in it from within, because, despite constant transformation, creation persists.
