The chandelier at the São Luiz Theatre was lowered in a unique moment at the end of the season, and the audience was invited to watch. Every year, this iconic chandelier is lowered in silence, behind closed doors, to be cleaned and prepared for another season of applause. This year, as a one-off, the theatre opened its doors to share this ritual of care and preservation, one of the venue’s best-kept secrets. A performance without a script or actors, where time seems to stand still. A São Luiz Municipal Theatre production.
