Description

Wearing tight bodysuits, Aloun Marchal and Henrique Furtado Vieira measure each other from head to toe, face each other, camp out in the center of the stage and scream from the bottom of their guts: the challenge is on. Face to face, in a proximity that is simultaneously complicit and provocative, they prepare. They explore a range of sounds and movements with detonating registers, from fighting to the most naughty children’s games, from borborygmos to the sweetest songs, from simple exhalation to bestial screams. Evolutionary mechanisms lead performers to go further and further in their practices, moving their bodies and manifesting their throats. The pas de deux slides from regulated violence to the pleasure of sensuality, both based (and this is the most disturbing thing) on listening, imitation and the exchange of movements. To the rhythm of these repetitions, the voices and faces, laughing and cruel, become entangled, equip themselves and compete. Henrique Furtado Vieira and Aloun Marchal are finally ready…
