The Ensemble of Other Living Beings is an organisation that brings together creators from different backgrounds, with the aim of experimenting with new forms of production and actively rethinking the structures of the collective imagination through sound.
It is a growing orchestra, open to the cross-pollination of various forms of expression and to the listening relationships that emerge from the inevitable dynamics of interdependence and coexistence.
The project blends folk traditions with contemporary approaches to composition — drawing on jazz, free jazz, electronic music and other musical styles yet to be categorised.
We understand sound as a means of transforming the sensory world, a space in which new ways of relating to the visible and the invisible are explored, through small rituals that give rise to ephemeral and ever-changing mythologies.
