Starting on December 1st and until further instructions from the Health Authorities (DGS), according to the current measures regarding the access to public events with assigned seats it’s required the presentation of the digital vaccination certificate, recovery certificate or negative testing certificate (negative PCR test certificate performed in the 72 hours prior to the show or antigen test performed in the 48 hours prior to the show).

After a creative adjustment in times of pandemic, with the staging of a Pocket Gala in 2020, the Gala Abraço is back at Teatro São Luiz. On 1 December, the date that marks World AIDS Day, the transformiste show, with all the pomp and glitter, with transvestites, drag queens, trans, LGBTi artists and supporters, will once again take place. The 29th edition (re)reminds, once again, the importance of inclusion and solidarity, on a night for the defence of human rights and equality, to underline that it is in difference that lies the wealth. An exuberant gala, full of joy, fun, colours, glamour, good humour and lots of emotions.

For more than a decade Teatro São Luiz has been associated with this show, created in 1992 by Carlos Castro, as the Gala Noite dos Travestis. An occasion to fight against stigmas, prejudices and to support the work done by Associação Abraço, which since its foundation provides support to people with HIV/AIDS.
