To open spaces, reinvent or illuminate: these are some of the guiding words for the 26th edition of FIMFA Lx – International Festival of Puppetry and Animated Forms, established as a national and international reference event, annually showcasing the very best in contemporary puppet arts.
At the São Luiz Theatre, one of its main stages, creations in puppetry and animated forms for all ages are presented, marked by creativity, irreverence, inventiveness and a high standard of technical and artistic quality, alongside masterclasses and meetings with the creators.
Images, bodies, shadows, light, sound, machines, poetic contraptions and all kinds of objects or materials that come to life in countless ways. In short — puppetry to see and think about the world with a different perspective.
